Job summary

Pratiti Technologies in Maharashtra, India, is seeking an experienced Java/J2EE engineer to design, develop, and maintain Core Java and Servlet-based applications in a primarily monolithic stack while contributing to modernization efforts toward cloud deployment and SaaS enablement.

You will collaborate with architects and product teams to craft scalable solutions, own modules end-to-end from requirements to deployment, and drive performance and security improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Core Java, J2EE, and Servlets with hands-on experience.
• Deep knowledge of concurrency, multithreading, and synchronization.
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, and OOP concepts.
• Experience with monolithic architecture and cloud/SaaS modernization.
• Experience writing unit tests with JUnit or TestNG.
• Ability to design with UML diagrams and system design concepts.
• Experience building scalable, performant applications with client-facing exposure.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Core Java/J2EE/Servlet apps in a monolithic architecture while contributing to modernization (cloud/SaaS).

• Design, develop, and maintain Core Java / J2EE / Servlet-based applications in a monolithic architecture, while contributing to modernization initiatives (cloud deployment, SaaS enablement).
  
• Collaborate closely with architects and product teams to define scalable solutions and technical designs.
  
• Provide end-to-end ownership of modules, from requirements analysis to deployment and performance optimization.
  
• Work on application modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, SaaS enablement, and performance improvements.
  
• Develop and review UML diagrams, architecture diagrams, and design specifications.
  
• Write high-quality code, perform code reviews, and ensure compliance with best practices, performance, and security standards.
  
• Contribute as an individual contributor (IC) in a client-facing setup, representing delivery excellence to Siemens stakeholders.
  
• Mentor junior engineers (where needed) and provide solutions to complex technical challenges.
  

Must-Have Technical Skills

• Core Java, J2EE, Servlets – deep expertise, fully hands-on.
  
• Strong knowledge of concurrency, collections, multithreading, synchronization, and locks (read/write locks).
  
• Expertise in data structures, algorithms, OOPS concepts (association, relationships, class-object fundamentals).
  
• Strong understanding of monolithic architecture and exposure to modernization towards cloud/SaaS.
  
• Experience in writing unit test cases (JUnit/TestNG).
  
• Problem-solving ability through low-level design, UML diagrams, and system design concepts.
  
• Hands-on experience in building scalable, performant applications.
  
• Exposure to client-facing roles and working with product architects or services companies managing long-term ODCs.
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to Azure/AWS cloud deployments.
  
• Experience in performance tuning and optimization.
