Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on experience in manual testing.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (any discipline).
• Strong knowledge of: SDLC Agile methodology Test methodologies and testing fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience writing SQL queries.
• Experience testing iOS and Android apps, including UI testing and API testing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements with BAs and SMEs.
• Identify test conditions and create detailed test cases and plans.
• Participate in peer reviews of test cases and strategies.
• Create and manage test data for execution.

Role Overview

We are seeking an IT Testing Engineer I with strong manual testing experience and exposure to mobile and API testing. The role involves analyzing requirements, designing and executing test cases, validating releases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and technical requirements in collaboration with Business Analysts (BAs) and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
• Identify test conditions and create detailed test cases and test plans.
• Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test strategies.
• Create and manage test data for execution.
• Execute manual and basic automation tests as per test plans.
• Document test execution results and log defects with clear reproduction steps.
• Evaluate test results and perform retesting, validation, and closure of defects.
• Validate release notes before production deployment.
• Submit daily status reports and track testing progress.
• Identify, assess, and report testing risks and issues.
• Coordinate with onshore and offshore teams as required.
• Manage day-to-day implementation of GTS test processes.

Mandatory Qualifications & Skills

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in manual testing.
• Full-time Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (any discipline).
• Strong knowledge of: SDLC Agile methodology Test methodologies and testing fundamentals Test design techniques
• Excellent analytical and scenario‑based thinking skills.
• Hands‑on experience in writing SQL queries.
• Experience testing iOS and Android applications, including: UI testing Server–mobile communication & API testing Transaction reconciliation testing
• Basic working knowledge of: Selenium , Web automation concepts , Cucumber framework, API testing tools (SoapUI, Postman)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills (Added Advantage)

• Basic knowledge of Appium and mobile automation.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.
