Job summary

Acesoft Labs in Bengaluru is seeking a QA Engineer to lead test automation efforts for Android and iOS apps, with hands-on Appium experience and a passion for quality.

You will design and maintain automated tests, collaborate with developers, execute test strategies, and mentor teammates while aligning with CI/CD and cloud tooling.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of hands-on test automation experience.
• Strong Appium experience for Android/iOS apps.
• Proficient in API testing using Rest Assured or equivalent.
• Solid Java OOP skills.
• Familiar with Maven, Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud platforms.
• Experience with JIRA/Xray or similar defect tools.

Description

We are looking for a QA Engineer with hands-on experience in application testing and Appium automation to join our app QA team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about ensuring seamless app performance, delivering high-quality experiences, and driving automation best practices across Android and iOS platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Appium for Android and iOS applications.

• Perform Test Automation for Frontend and Backend Applications.

• Plan and execute comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test data for functional, regression and user experience testing.

• Collaborate closely with developers and product owners to identify, track, and resolve defects.

• Perform manual testing required to validate new features or critical user journeys.

• Analyse test results, generate reports, and provide actionable insights for quality improvements.

• Perform Impact Analysis and come out with strategy to adapt new features/changes.

• Take ownership and keep the Target Test Suites up-to-date with latest features for each release.

• Mentor new team members, share automation best practices, and contribute to QA process enhancements.

Must have:

• 4-6 years of experience in Test Automation.

• Strong experience in app Automation with Appium.

• Good working knowledge of API Test Automation using Rest Assured or equivalent tools.

• Strong in OOPs concept with hands on experience in Core Java Programming.

• Understanding of Apache-Maven, Git, and other source code management tools.

• Understanding of Cloud Technologies - Azure or AWS.

• Hands on experience in Test management and defect management tools like JIRA, Xray or equivalent.

• Good exposure to CI/CD Tools (Preferably Azure DevOps)

Nice to have

• Experience in Performance Testing Tool like JMeter, LoadRunner

• Database knowledge of Sql, HBase

• ISTQB/CSTE certifications

• Prior Experience of working in Automotive Industry
