Job summary

Lonza Group Ltd. in Rewari, India is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join its Global Infrastructure team. You will design, implement, migrate, and optimize enterprise infrastructure across on-premises datacenters and Microsoft Azure environments.

You will lead cloud migration, datacenter modernization, and resilience initiatives while ensuring security, continuity, and scalable operations in a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure IaaS and Azure Monitor.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server and core infrastructure services.
• Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA/DRS/vMotion.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise infrastructure across on-prem and Azure.
• Lead cloud migration, datacenter modernization, and infrastructure transformation with minimal disruption.
• Administer and optimize Windows Server environments: AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, PKI, Certificate Services.
• Manage and support VMware and Nutanix platforms for availability and performance.
• Implement backup, DR, and business continuity using enterprise recovery tech and best practices.
• Conduct infrastructure security hardening, vulnerability remediation, and compliance activities.
• Support site migration projects and act as escalation point for regional Site IT teams.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our Global Infrastructure team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, migrating, optimizing, and supporting enterprise infrastructure across on-premises datacenters and cloud platforms. You will play a key role in cloud modernization, infrastructure transformation, security enhancement, business continuity, and operational excellence initiatives across a global environment. Working at the intersection of infrastructure operations, cloud technologies, and enterprise engineering, you will collaborate closely with Site IT teams, infrastructure partners, cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure services that support Lonza's global operations.

What you will do

• Lead cloud migration, datacenter modernization, carve-out, and infrastructure transformation initiatives while ensuring minimal business disruption.
• Administer and optimize Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, and Certificate Services.
• Manage and support VMware and Nutanix platforms, ensuring availability, scalability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions utilizing enterprise recovery technologies and best practices.
• Perform infrastructure security hardening, vulnerability remediation, compliance activities, and operational risk reduction initiatives.
• Support site migration projects and act as an escalation point for regional Site IT teams across global locations.

What we are looking for

• Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering, system administration, cloud operations, and datacenter management.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including Azure IaaS, Azure Migrate, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, and Azure Site Recovery.
• Deep knowledge of Windows Server technologies and core infrastructure services including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, PKI, and Certificate Services.
• Hands-on experience administering VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, and vMotion environments.
• Experience supporting Nutanix platforms including AHV, Prism Central, Prism Element, and AOS.
• Strong background in backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and infrastructure resiliency planning.
• Demonstrated experience leading cloud migrations, infrastructure transformations, site migrations, and datacenter modernization programs.
