Policydream in Gurugram invites an IT Support specialist to handle L1/L2 hardware, software, OS and connectivity issues across laptops and peripherals. You will deploy and manage IT assets and assist employees.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Provide L1/L2 technical support to employees for hardware, software, OS, application and connectivity-related issues across laptops, desktops, printers and peripherals.
• Configure, deploy and manage laptops, desktops, mobile devices and other IT assets, including allocation, repair, replacement, return and lifecycle tracking.
• Install, configure and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, Windows OS and business applications, coordinating with vendors whenever required.
• Provide basic support for Windows Server, LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP and internet/network connectivity, escalating complex infrastructure issues to senior teams.
• Maintain accurate IT Asset Inventory, software licensing records, device allocation records and IT documentation.
• Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing IT equipment, managing required access and ensuring timely asset recovery.
• Manage IT incidents and service requests within defined SLA/TAT, maintain support logs and document recurring issues and resolutions.
• Coordinate with IT vendors/service providers for hardware procurement, repairs, AMC and application/infrastructure support.
• Ensure basic endpoint security, antivirus, OS patches, software updates and access-control practices are maintained as per company IT policies.
• Identify recurring technical issues, provide preventive solutions and contribute to the smooth and efficient day-to-day IT operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum 1 Year of relevant experience in IT Support, Desktop Support, Technical Support, IT Helpdesk, End User Computing or IT Executive roles.
• Strong hands-on troubleshooting experience with laptops, desktops, mobile devices, Microsoft 365 and business applications.
• Basic understanding of networking, Windows administration and IT infrastructure.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and employee-support skills.
• Ability to independently manage routine IT operations and elevate complex technical issues appropriately.
• Good documentation and coordination skills.
