Job summary

CIEL HR in Chennai seeks an IT Manager- Infrastructure, Networking & Security to lead the design, implementation, and operation of secure, scalable IT systems. You will manage IT infrastructure, network security, virtualization, cloud (Azure/AWS), and data center activities while aligning with ISO/IEC standards.

The role requires 9-15 years of hands-on experience, strong vendor management, and excellent communication to drive security governance and reliability across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field.
• Industry certifications (Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware) preferred.
• ITIL/ISO information security certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IT infrastructure, networking and security architecture.
• Design, implement and improve secure, scalable network solutions.
• Administer and optimize virtual environments for business and testing.
• Configure and monitor firewalls, IDS/IPS, load balancers and security appliances.
• Ensure system security, policies, and proactive threat response.
• Support ISO standards compliance and information security governance.
• Participate in security audits, risk assessments and compliance initiatives.
• Oversee user management, access control and IT service support.
• Provide executive reports on infrastructure health, performance and security posture.
• Recommend infrastructure modernization initiatives and governance improvements.

Job Title:IT Manager- Infrastructure, Networking & Security

Location: Chennai
Experience:9-15yrs

CTC: 20LPA -24LPA

Notice period:Immediate to 15days only

Hands-on experience- VMware, Windows Server Administration, Network Administration, Microsoft Azure, and Data Centre Management

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, AWS, Cisco, VMware, Fortinet) preferred
• Certifications in ITIL, Information Security and ISO standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, CISSP, CISM, CEH) are preferred.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, networking, and security administration
• Proven experience managing Windows Server and Linux (Red Hat or equivalent) environments
• Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
• Hands-on expertise in firewall, IDS/IPS, and network security management
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) is mandatory
• Familiarity with Fortinet, Cisco ASA, and A10 Networks appliances is an added advantage
• Exposure to ITIL Framework, ISO standards and Information Security frameworks is preferred

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of network architecture, system administration, and IT security best practices
• Ability to design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructures, including VLANs and segmentation
• Expertise in data center security, including inbound/outbound traffic control and firewall policies
• Proficiency in load balancing and network performance optimization
• Understanding of Information Security principles, risk management, and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001)
• Experience in IT governance frameworks and security compliance standards
• Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to infrastructure and security management
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
