Job summary

LNJ Institute Of Skills And Technology in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, is seeking an IT Executive to manage the organisation's LAN, Internet systems, and overall network infrastructure across the campus.

The role covers data protection, backups, disaster recovery, network security, and coordination with KYP Bihar centres. You will monitor performance, implement improvements, and train users in computer system use.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure and support the organisation's LAN system
• Install and support Internet system
• Maintain network hardware and software
• Monitor network to ensure availability to all system users
• Perform necessary maintenance to support network availability at all times
• Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks and to coordinate computer network access and use
• Perform routine network start up and shut down procedures and maintain control records
• Confer with network users about how to solve existing system problems
• Train people in computer system use
• Coordinate and analyse and problem related to network, software or hardware in outstation centres/offices and help resolve such issues by remote controlling
• Coordinate with vendors and company personnel in order to facilitate quotations, making comparative analysis and recommend final shortlisting
• Gather data pertaining to customer needs and use the information to identify, predict, interpret and evaluate system and network requirements
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations as and when specified/needed
• Plan, coordinate & implement network security measures in order to protect data, software and hardware
• Collate data from MIS reports received from all KYP centres in Bihar and submit to superiors with recommendations
• Maintain logs related to network functions as well as maintenance and repair records
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
• Research new technology and implement it or recommend its implementation
• Monitor network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future
• Analyse equipment performance records in order to determine the need for repair or replacement
