Job summary

This position emphasizes desktop and network maintenance, asset tracking, incident response, and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent; pursuing or recent graduate.
• Desktop support experience preferred.
• Strong OS knowledge: Windows, macOS, Linux.
• Basic networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, VPN.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Understanding of IT assets, software and hardware management.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, manage time, and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware and software; perform updates; monitor system performance.
• Configure network devices; resolve connectivity issues; manage VPNs and security.
• Onboard users and address technical queries; educate on IT policies.
• Manage IT inventory; handle procurement and disposal; maintain records.
• Document IT processes; create user guides; produce system performance reports.
• Support IT projects and system upgrades; provide feedback in strategy discussions.

Job description

• System Maintenance and Support: Troubleshooting hardware/software, performing updates, monitoring system performance.
• Network Management: Configuring network devices, resolving connectivity issues, maintaining VPNs and security protocols.
• User Support: Addressing technical queries, onboarding users, educating on IT policies.
• Asset Management: Managing IT inventory, handling procurement and disposal, maintaining updated records.
• Documentation and Reporting: Record IT processes, create user guides, and generate system performance reports.
• Project Assistance: Support IT projects, system upgrades, and provide feedback in strategy discussions.

Requirements

Preferred Skills:-

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior experience or knowledge in desktop support or a similar role is preferred.
• Strong understanding of operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux.
• Familiarity with networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic understanding of IT assets, software, and hardware management.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
