Job summary

Eurofins in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a skilled Cloud System Administrator to manage and maintain hybrid cloud infrastructure, with hands-on Windows and Linux, and VMware vSphere expertise.

You will automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible, implement patching strategies, monitor performance, and collaborate with Security and Applications teams to fix vulnerabilities, while maintaining documentation and disaster recovery readiness.

SUMMARY OF ROLE AND OBJECTIVES:

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Cloud System Administrator to manage and maintain our hybrid cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands‑on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, VMware vSphere, and a strong background in patch management. This role is critical to ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability across our cloud and on‑prem environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers in cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Manage and optimise VMware vSphere infrastructure, including virtual machines, hosts, clusters, and storage.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform and Ansible.
• Implement and manage patching strategies across all systems to ensure compliance and security.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with Security and Application teams to patch and fix vulnerabilities.
• Manage file shares and DFS; maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience with Windows Server administration.
• Experience in VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter, vMotion, DRS, HA).
• Proficiency in Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure as code and configuration management.
• Solid understanding of patch management tools and patch troubleshooting processes (WSUS).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals, firewalls, and security best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Knowledge of server hardware and storage management is an added advantage.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in system administration and cloud infrastructure management.
• Must have certification in Microsoft/Vmware (Azure Cloud would be a plus).
