Job summary

Exide Industries Limited seeks a Server & Cloud SME with hands-on experience to lead and manage hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance across Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and enterprise backup solutions.

You will drive automation, participate in cloud migration projects, and coordinate with vendors to ensure efficient service delivery and modernization initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policy are required.
• VMware vSphere, Hyper-V or Nutanix AHV experience is mandatory.
• Enterprise backup solutions like Veeam/Commvault/Rubrik and DR planning are essential.
• IAM fundamentals and infrastructure security with server hardening are needed.
• Automation using Terraform, PowerShell, Python or Ansible is beneficial.

Responsibilities

The candidate should possess strong practical experience in Microsoft Azure, Windows/Linux Server Administration, Virtualization, Backup & Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure Security, Identity & Access Management, and Automation.

The role will be responsible for ensuring availability, security, performance, and operational excellence across on-premises and cloud infrastructure environments while supporting modernization and automation initiatives.

Server & Cloud SME who can Lead from the Front with Hands-on Experience on:

Mandatory Skills:

Primary Responsibility

The role should be able to work independently and will be accountable for:

• Azure & Hybrid Infrastructure Management: Manage and support secure, scalable, and highly available Azure and on-premises infrastructure.
• Server Administration: Ensure availability, performance, patching, and lifecycle management of Windows and Linux server environments.
• Virtualization Management: Manage VMware, Hyper-V, and virtualization platforms supporting business-critical applications.
• Backup & Disaster Recovery: Maintain enterprise backup solutions, conduct DR drills, and ensure compliance with RPO/RTO requirements.
• Security & IAM: Implement infrastructure security best practices, hardening standards, and identity access controls.
• Incident Management & Troubleshooting: Act as escalation point for critical infrastructure issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Infrastructure Automation: Automate provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational activities using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Monitoring & Operations: Ensure proactive monitoring, capacity planning, performance optimization, and SLA adherence.
• Project Support: Participate in cloud migration, infrastructure modernization, and technology transformation initiatives.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with OEMs, service providers, and infrastructure partners for operational support and service delivery.
