We are seeking an experienced IT Engineer to manage the day-to-day administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of our enterprise virtualization platforms. This role ensures the high availability, performance, security, and compliance of core VMware infrastructure, supporting mission-critical business applications across production, DR, and UAT environments.
VMware & VCF Operations: Administer VMware vSphere, ESXi (7.x/8.x), vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and Storage vMotion. Operate VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments, including SDDC Manager, Management Domains, and Workload Domains. Perform lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, and routine health checks.
Storage & HCI Support: Manage Dell VxRail and vSAN environments. Monitor storage capacity, coordinate hardware maintenance, manage firmware upgrades, and work with external vendors for hardware incident resolution.
Incident Management & RCA: Provide L2/L3 support for virtualization incidents. Troubleshoot compute, storage, and network layers, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and support disaster recovery (DR) activities.
Security & Compliance: Execute vulnerability remediation, security patching, and RBAC permission management. Maintain cyber hygiene and support internal/external audit reviews.
Automation & Documentation: Develop automation scripts using PowerCLI and PowerShell. Support monitoring platforms like VMware Aria Operations, maintain CMDB data, and author SOPs, runbooks, and technical documentation following ITIL processes.
Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise VMware infrastructure operations (preferably in financial services or enterprise-scale environments).
Core Technical Skills: Expertise in VMware ESXi 7.x/8.x, vCenter Server, vSphere, VMware HCX Migration, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
Infrastructure & Automation: Proven experience supporting Dell VxRail or equivalent HCI platforms alongside scripting proficiency in PowerCLI/PowerShell.
Process Knowledge: Deep understanding of ITIL-based operational frameworks, change management, and incident management.
Experience with VMware NSX-T/NSX, VMware Aria Operations, VMware SRM, or Dell PowerFlex.
Familiarity with enterprise storage, networking concepts, and ticketing platforms like ServiceNow.
