Job summary

ERM Placement Services is seeking a seasoned Internal Controls Audit professional in Pune with 5-8 years of post-qualification experience. The role involves independently leading multiple complex engagements, designing testing of business process controls and ITGCs, and evaluating ERP-based controls in line with MCA requirements.

You will review issues, recommend remediation, and guide a team of 8–10 professionals while coordinating with senior directors and partners.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-8 years post qualification experience in internal controls audit as part of statutory audits, internal audits, SOX, IFC, SOC 2 engagements.
• CA/CMA with relevant certifications preferred.
• Experience leading engagements and teams on complex controls projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex engagements independently.
• Design and operate effectiveness testing of business process controls, ITGCs, and ERP-based controls.
• Review and document controls, assess financial statement impacts, and propose compensating controls.
• Coach and oversee 8-10 professionals and liaise with Directors, EDs, and Partners.

• CA, CMA + Certifications such as CISA, CRISC, DISA.


• Minimum 5 - 8 years post qualification experience of internal controls audit as a part of statutory audits, internal audits, SOX, IFC, SOC 2 engagements.

Must have expertise of -

• Independently leading multiple highly complex engagements.


• Design and operating effectiveness testing of Business Processes controls, application controls, IT General Controls, Report testing, documentation and review ensuring quality, budget and timelines.


• Independently working on multiple engagements with 8 - 10 team members and multiple Directors, EDs, Partners.


• Evaluating controls such as segregation of duties, access controls, ERP based controls, audit trail as per MCA requirement.


• Identifying issues, assessing their financial statement assertion level impacts, developing recommendations, identifying compensating controls and performing additional procedures.

Other skills -

• Business development, proposal preparations, and presentation experience are must.


• Ensure results within agreed timelines and budget.


• Conducting training, contributing to thought leadership and oversee coaching of 8 - 10 professionals.
