Job summary

Orcapod Consulting Services seeks an IT Asset Management professional in Kolkata to oversee hardware asset lifecycle, from planning to disposal, and ensure accurate inventory and timely audits. The role requires hands-on SAM/HAM experience and strong knowledge of CMDB and ITSM tools.

The ideal candidate will manage vendor relationships, implement asset policies, and generate utilization reports to drive optimization across IT assets.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in IT Asset Management / ITSM domain.
• Hands-on experience in asset lifecycle management (SAM & HAM).
• Experience with ITAM (SAM/HAM) covering software and hardware assets.
• Knowledge of asset lifecycle, auditing and risk assessment.
• CMDB knowledge with CI management (Assets, Servers).

Responsibilities

• Oversee acquisition, deployment, and decommissioning of hardware assets.
• Manage entire lifecycle from planning to disposal.
• Ensure assets are utilized efficiently and maintained to extend life.
• Implement asset management policies, procedures and standards.
• Ensure inventory accuracy through audits and updates.
• Generate reports on asset status, utilization and compliance.
• Implement automation/tools to enhance asset tracking and reporting.
• Maintain records of hardware inventory and IT stores.
• Develop lifecycle management plans and manage vendor relationships.
• Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
