Job summary

Expleo India in Pune seeks a seasoned Quality Engineer to lead issue management across the product development lifecycle and production readiness. You will coordinate cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve quality issues, and drive corrective actions.

The role requires 8–11 years in automotive quality, proficiency with DFMEA, 8D, SPC, QFD, and supplier quality processes, plus strong analytical and stakeholder skills. On-site in Pune, India.

Qualifications

Overview

Lead issue management activities across the product development lifecycle by coordinating cross-functional teams to identify, analyze, prioritize, and resolve quality issues. Ensure timely closure of technical risks and anomalies while driving corrective actions, monitoring effectiveness, and supporting continuous quality improvement throughout the project lifecycle. • Lead issue management activities across product development phases, from design and development through production launch and post-launch support.
• Coordinate identification, tracking, prioritization, and resolution of product and process quality issues.
• Drive technical risk assessment and ensure timely resolution of design, manufacturing, and quality-related anomalies.
• Participate in cross-functional quality reviews to understand customer-reported issues and translate them into actionable improvement plans.
• Develop and maintain issue management dashboards, status reports, and management summaries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely reporting.
• Monitor issue resolution progress and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to achieve project quality milestones.
• Conduct audits at manufacturing facilities and supplier locations to verify implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
• Validate robustness and sustainability of corrective actions through follow-up reviews and effectiveness checks.
• Escalate critical quality concerns, unresolved issues, and project risks to project leadership when required.
• Support build events and production readiness by ensuring timely closure of quality concerns before key project milestones.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving sessions using industry-standard quality methodologies.
• Promote lessons learned and drive continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurrence of similar issues.
• Ensure compliance with organizational quality standards, processes, and project governance requirements.
• Independently prioritize activities, manage issue resolution plans, and coordinate stakeholders to achieve project objectives within defined timelines.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Production Engineering or related discipline.
