Job Overview

New Delhi, June 9: Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC), a Navratna Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has invited applications for the post of Group General Manager (E8) – Services at its Corporate Office in New Delhi. The position will be filled on a deputation basis and applications will be accepted until July 8, 2026.

According to Vacancy Notice No. DEP-09/2026, IRCTC is seeking to fill one vacancy in its Services Department. The appointment will initially be for a period of three years or until IRCTC's exemption from the rule of immediate absorption continues, whichever is earlier.

The post is open to officers of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME). Applicants should be below 58 years of age as on the closing date of the vacancy notice. Officers in Level-14 of the Seventh Central Pay Commission or those in Level-13 with a minimum of three years' service in the grade are eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

The Group General Manager (Services) will head the Services Department and oversee the maintenance and refurbishment of luxury and tourist trains operated by IRCTC, including the Maharajas' Express and the Buddhist Circuit Tourist Train. The role also involves coordination with Indian Railways, management of service contracts and acting as the nodal officer for train operation-related projects.
