Job summary

Kalkey in India seeks an IoT Engineer with hands-on IoT, embedded systems, hardware integration and device communication. You will prototype, integrate sensors, troubleshoot IoT systems and work across hardware and software.

Responsibilities include designing and deploying IoT-based systems, working with ESP32/Arduino/Raspberry Pi/STM32, and implementing MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Wi-Fi and BLE protocols. Robotics and Mechatronics exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IoT and embedded systems experience is required.
• Strong hardware and software development capability.
• Experience with microcontrollers, sensors, and actuators.
• Familiarity with IoT communication protocols and APIs.

• Develop firmware and applications for IoT devices.

Job Description

We are looking for an IoT Engineer with strong hands-on experience in IoT, embedded systems, hardware integration, and device communication. Candidates with knowledge or experience in Robotics, Automation, and Mechatronics will be preferred.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable working across hardware and software, developing prototypes, integrating sensors and devices, and troubleshooting IoT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy IoT-based systems and connected devices.
• Work with microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, communication modules, and embedded hardware.
• Develop solutions using platforms such as ESP32, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, STM32, or similar.
• Develop firmware and applications for IoT devices.
• Work with protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth/BLE, Zigbee, and LoRa/LoRaWAN.

• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Basic knowledge of APIs, databases, and cloud platforms
• Knowledge of Linux and Git is an advantage

Education

• B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech / Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, IoT, Robotics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Candidates with strong academic or personal IoT/Robotics projects may also be considered.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 13 years of experience in IoT, Embedded Systems, Robotics, Automation, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on approach to hardware and software development.
• Good understanding of electronics and embedded programming.
