Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an IoT & Backend Developer to build real-time, scalable backend services for an Industrial IoT platform. You will work on telemetry ingestion, API development, and cloud-based data processing using Azure PaaS services.

The role requires delivering features independently and contributing to system design within existing architecture. The ideal candidate has 3–6 years of backend experience and hands-on work with Cosmos DB or MongoDB, with strong REST API and event-driven

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: C# (.NET Core / ASP.NET) OR Python OR Node.js.
• Strong understanding of REST API development and backend service architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Cosmos DB or MongoDB.
• Working knowledge of Azure services: Azure IoT Hub / Event Hub, Azure Functions, Azure App Services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain IoT telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines.
• Work with event-driven systems using Azure IoT Hub / Event Hub.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services; implement asynchronous workflows.
• Contribute to multi-tenant backend systems with proper data handling.
• Work with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB) and design data models for telemetry and asset data.
• Develop and deploy services using Azure Functions, Azure App Services, Event Hub / IoT Hub; align with cloud architecture and deployment patterns.
• Write unit tests, support integration testing, participate in code reviews, and follow coding standards.
• Use GitHub for version control and collaboration.

The candidate will work on telemetry ingestion, API development, and cloud‑based data processing systems using Azure PaaS services. This position requires someone who can independently deliver features, contribute to design discussions, and work within an existing architecture to build reliable and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

IoT & Real-Time Data Processing

• Develop and maintain IoT telemetry ingestion and processing pipelines
• Work with event‑driven systems using Azure IoT Hub / Event Hub
• Ensure data reliability, correctness, and basic performance optimization

Backend Development

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services
• Implement asynchronous and event‑driven workflows
• Contribute to multi‑tenant backend systems with proper data handling

Database & Data Modeling

• Work with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB and MongoDB
• Design and implement data models for telemetry and asset data
• Write efficient queries and support performance improvements

Azure Platform Development

• Develop and deploy services using:
• Azure Functions
• Azure App Services
• Event Hub / IoT Hub
• Work within defined cloud architecture and deployment patterns

Engineering Practices & Quality

• Write unit tests and support integration testing
• Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards
• Debug and resolve issues in development and production environments
• Use GitHub for version control and collaboration

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in backend development
