Job summary

RIIDL (Research Innovation Incubation Design Labs) seeks an Investment Associate to support end-to-end deal execution from screening and due diligence through closing of instruments like SAFE, CCD, and CCPS. The role involves IC memo preparation, cap table analysis, and drafting of investment and legal documents with the legal team.

Qualifications

• CA qualification required.
• 1–3 years experience in VC, PE, IB or startup ecosystem.
• Proficient in financial modelling, valuation, cap table management, and drafting of investment documents.
• Knowledge of MCA/ROC, SEBI AIF compliance, and advanced Excel & PowerPoint.
• Experience in end-to-end deal execution and IC memos.

Responsibilities

• Support end-to-end deal execution screening, due diligence, term sheet negotiation, and closing of investment instruments (SAFE, CCD, CCPS).
• Prepare Investment Committee (IC) memos, cap table analysis, and valuation/financial summaries to support investment decisions.
• Draft and review investment and legal documentation (SHA, CCD/CCPS agreements, convertible notes) in coordination with legal counsel.
• Track portfolio company compliance MCA/ROC filings, utilisation certificates, statements of expenditure, and reporting for government grant schemes (DST NIDHI-PRAYAS, BIRAC, MSINS, SISFS).
• Maintain and update cap tables, investment trackers, and portfolio MIS/dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
• Coordinate with founders, co-investors, and Somaiya Angel Network members on deal flow, diligence, and portfolio reviews.
