Job summary

Qrata Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an Investment Analyst in Bengaluru to work directly with the founder on deal sourcing and sector research. This hands-on role offers learning investment from the ground up, meeting founders early, and shaping views on new AI sectors to guide investment decisions.

You will source deals, meet founders, explore emerging AI themes, and support the investment team with screening notes and market analyses while building a strong founder network.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience, preferably in consulting.

• Extremely high rigour and attention to detail with high-volume, research-heavy sourcing work.

Responsibilities

• Source deals through extensive outbound sourcing and build a strong pipeline of founders.

The role

You will work directly with the founder on deal sourcing and sector research. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to learn investing from the ground up: meeting founders at the earliest stage, forming views on new AI sectors, and helping decide where we invest.

What you'll do

• Source deals: Run extensive outbound sourcing, track emerging AI startups, and build a strong pipeline of founders.
• Meet founders: Take first calls, assess team, product, and market, and flag high-potential opportunities.
• Explore new sectors: Research emerging AI themes, build market maps, and develop investment theses.
• Support the investment team: Prepare screening notes, market analyses, and competitive landscapes.
• Build the network: Stay close to the startup ecosystem through founders, operators, communities, and co-investors.

Who we're looking for

• 1-2 years of experience, ideally in consulting
• IIT or BITS background preferred; strong candidates from other top-tier institutions with a consulting background are also welcome
• Genuine curiosity about AI and eagerness to explore new sectors
• Extremely high rigour and attention to detail, with comfort in high-volume, research-heavy sourcing work
• Strong communication skills and ease in meeting and engaging founders
