The Inventory Controller Supervisor will oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with company standards. This role involves supervising a team, optimizing stock levels, minimizing waste, and supporting seamless production and distribution processes.
Inventory & Warehouse Management
- Supervise daily inventory operations, including receiving, storage, and issuance of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
- Conduct regular cycle counts, stock audits, and reconciliation to maintain 99%+ inventory accuracy.
- Implement FIFO (First‑In, First‑Out) and other best practices to minimize obsolescence and waste.
- Monitor expiry dates (critical in cosmetics/skin care) and coordinate with QA/QC for compliant disposal.
- Ensure proper storage conditions (e.g., temperature‑sensitive items).
Process Optimization & Compliance
- Develop and enforce SOPs for inventory control, aligning with GMP/cGMP standards.
- Utilize ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) to track stock movements and generate reports.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities (e.g., reducing excess stock, improving turnover).
- Liaise with Production, Procurement, and Logistics to forecast demand and prevent shortages.
Team Leadership
- Train and supervise inventory clerks/warehouse staff, fostering a culture of accountability and precision.
- Resolve discrepancies and elevate issues to management promptly.
Qualifications & Skills
Hard Skills
- Proficiency in inventory management software (ERP/WMS) and advanced Excel (PivotTables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, GMP compliance, and COSMETIC/OTC regulations.
- Experience with barcode/RFID systems and lean inventory practices.
Soft Skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
- Leadership & communication skills to manage teams and cross‑functional collaboration.
