Paras Health is seeking a nursing professional to support Interventional Radiology procedures in a high-demand clinical setting. The role includes preparing the IR room and consumables, assessing patients before procedures, and delivering pre- and post-procedure nursing care with emphasis on patient education and safety.

Responsibilities cover monitoring during procedures, assisting the radiologist, administering medications and contrast, and documenting care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the IR procedure room, equipment, instruments, and consumables before procedures.
• Receive and assess patients prior to IR procedures.
• Provide pre-procedure nursing care and explain the procedure to patients and attendants.
• Monitor patients' vital signs, pain, consciousness, and overall condition during procedures.
• Assist the Interventional Radiologist during procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Administer medications, contrast media, and sedation as per physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor patients for allergic reactions, bleeding, complications, and other adverse events.
• Provide post-procedure care and monitor patients during recovery.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, procedure records, and patient charts.
• Ensure proper handling and availability of catheters, guidewires, contrast media, and other IR consumables.
• Follow infection-control, radiation-safety, and patient-safety protocols.
• Maintain emergency preparedness and respond effectively to clinical emergencies.
• Coordinate with doctors, technicians, and other multidisciplinary teams for smooth workflow.
• Ensure proper stock management and timely reporting of shortages.
• Participate in quality-improvement and patient-safety initiatives.
