Job summary

Epicor in Bengaluru is seeking a fresh or early-career Technical Writer to develop high-quality documentation and instructional videos for Epicor products. You will work with R&D project teams to create guides, how-to articles, and process walkthroughs, helping customers understand complex software.

You will explain technical concepts clearly, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with business analysts, developers, QA, and content teams.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with a degree in Technical Writing, Education, or Instructional Design or related field.
• Fluency in written and spoken English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and desktop publishing tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and solid organizational/time-management abilities.
• Ability to multitask across projects and work independently or in teams.
• Experience with Jira, Adobe Suite, WalkMe, and Storyline 360 is a plus.

About the Role

As a member of the Product Operations and Learning Team, you will be responsible for producing high-
quality documentation /Instructional Videos for Epicor products. You will work with R&D project teams to produce various
types of documentation such as implementation guides, user guides, how-to articles, and process
walkthroughs. Your skills and knowledge of technical writing practices will help support the content
team and contribute to content development. You will also work with Business Analysts, Developers,
and QA Testers to ensure our applications have the required documentation to inform and support our
customers.

What You’ll Do

• Dive in and learn about one of our products and how our customers use it.
• Develop and maintain documentation/Instructional Videos for Epicor Learning.
• Be able to explain technical concepts in clear, simple, conversational terms.
• Support numerous projects simultaneously.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure the products are clearly and completely
  documented.

What You Need to Succeed

• Fresher with a Degree in Technical Writing, Education, or Instructional Design or related
  program and/or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in oral and written English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and/or other desktop publishing software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Solid organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to multitask and work on different projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently as well as on project teams.
• Experience in Jira, Microsoft Suite, Adobe Suite, WalkMe, and Storyline 360 is a plus

Additional Desired Characteristics

• Knowledge of technical and development terminology.
• Familiarity with video creation and editing tools.
• Knowledge of basic HTML.
• Familiarity with content management systems.
• Knowledge of web content development tools.
