Job summary

Epicor India is seeking a Content Developer to create, edit, and proofread product information. You will work on moderate scope projects across Training, Support, and Professional Services, ensuring timely delivery throughout the software lifecycle.

You will coordinate with SMEs and product teams to verify accuracy, maintain language simplicity, and support layout and design reviews. Strong English communication and research skills are essential for success in this role.

Job description

The Content Developer follows standard practices and procedures in the creation, editing, and proofreading of product information.

Works on projects of moderate scope across different areas, such as Training, Support and Professional services.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Writes technical and user information.
• Completes self and peer reviews of content to ensure consistency and simplicity of language.
• Reviews drawings and design reports, writes text, and coordinates layout and design of materials.
• Uses the product software to review feature plans and create appropriate content.
• Partners with other areas of the business to understand and respond to content needs.
• Identifies required content updates based on product enhancements.
• Completes content on time throughout the software development lifecycle.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to do research.
• Creativity.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including an ability to work comfortably with SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
• Experience/interest in software.
• Experience working closely with product management and product developments teams.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
