Job summary

Medico Hub in Tirupur, Tamil Nadu, seeks an experienced Consultant General Physician to handle OPD, IPD and emergency duties. The role requires MD General Medicine or DNB General Medicine with valid NMC/TN registration and strong clinical skills.

Ideal candidates will have proficiency in managing acute and chronic conditions, coordinating with specialists, and delivering patient‑centred care in a busy hospital setting. Immediate joiners are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct General Medicine OPD consultations and manage IPD patients
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions
• Manage diabetes, hypertension, infections, respiratory disorders and other general medical cases
• Attend to medical emergencies and provide timely stabilization
• Conduct regular inpatient rounds and monitor patient progress
• Review and interpret laboratory investigations, ECG and other diagnostic reports
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and monitor response to treatment
• Coordinate with Cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists, Gastroenterologists, Surgeons, Intensivists and other specialists
• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, lifestyle modification and follow-up
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes and discharge summaries
• Participate in emergency/on-call duties as per hospital requirements
• Follow hospital, infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocols

Qualification

• MD General Medicine

Experience

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel patients and attendants regarding diagnosis, treatment, medication, lifestyle modification and follow-up
• Maintain accurate case sheets, prescriptions, progress notes and discharge summaries

• Follow hospital, infection-control, patient-safety and clinical protocols
