Protiviti India seeks an experienced Internal Auditor to lead risk-based audits in Construction & Infrastructure projects in Hyderabad. You will assess project controls, procurement, contract management, and billing processes across EPC and infrastructure initiatives.

Qualifikationen

• 38 years of experience in internal audit within the construction and infrastructure sector.
• Mandatory experience auditing construction projects, EPC projects, real estate developments, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of project costing & budgetary controls, procurement & contract management, project billing & revenue recognition.
• Experience in preparing audit reports and presenting observations to management.
• Good analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.

Aufgaben

• Execute risk-based internal audits for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Review project governance, execution, procurement, contract management, billing and cost controls.
• Assess adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across project operations.
• Conduct audits covering planning, budgeting, tendering, vendor management, and monitoring.
• Identify risks and recommend mitigation measures across operations.
• Evaluate compliance with policies, contracts and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare audit reports, document findings and track closure of observations.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations for improvements.
• Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to implement audit recommendations.
• Support special reviews and management-requested assignments.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Internal Audit professional with experience in the Construction and Infrastructure sector. The candidate should possess a strong understanding of construction project life cycles, project controls, contract management, procurement processes, and risk-based internal audit methodologies. The ideal candidate must be a Civil Engineer by qualification and should have hands-on experience conducting internal audits for construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based internal audits for construction and infrastructure projects.
• Review project governance, project execution, procurement, contract management, billing, and project cost controls.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls across project operations.
• Conduct audits covering project planning, budgeting, tendering, vendor management, and project monitoring processes.
• Identify operational, financial, compliance, and project execution risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Evaluate compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare audit reports, document findings, and track closure of audit observations.
• Perform root cause analysis and provide actionable recommendations for process improvements.
• Coordinate with project teams, business stakeholders, and management to ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations.
• Support special reviews, investigations, and management-requested assignments.
