Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a motivated researcher in Bengaluru to conduct foundational and evaluative studies, create detailed user-journey maps, and craft compelling narratives about user needs. You will collaborate with engineers, scientists, product managers and sales to translate insights into actionable opportunities.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Masters or PhD in HCI or related fields, with strong qualitative methods experience and comfort with design tools. Startup experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Masters or PhD in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Social or Behavioral Sciences, or related field.
• Familiarity with qualitative research methods and demonstrable experience conducting research projects.
• Comfort with design tools such as Figma, Lovable, UIzard, Airtable and Galileo.
• Expertise in qualitative research methods and frameworks, such as in-depth interviews, journey mapping, card sorting, or usability studies.
• Familiarity with quantitative research methods, including surveys and statistical analysis.
• Experience in a startup environment.
• Ability to tell clear stories about users and persuade stakeholders by making the opaque obvious.
