Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited in Mumbai is seeking an Interior Design Lead to own the design function and manage a team of interior designers. You will set direction, oversee workload, and ensure projects meet timelines, budgets, and brand standards.

You will lead end-to-end design for stores, renovations and expansions, review layouts and specifications, manage vendors and consultants, and drive cost optimisation while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in interior design.
• Proven experience managing and leading a team of designers.
• Strong understanding of commercial interiors, space planning, materials and project execution.
• Strong design judgment with the ability to balance creative, operational and commercial requirements.
• Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and relevant design software.

The role will be responsible for setting design direction, managing the team's workload and deliverables, and ensuring projects are delivered within timelines, budgets and brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor the interior design team, allocating projects and monitoring individual deliverables.
• Own the end-to-end design process for new stores, renovations and expansion projects.
• Set design direction and ensure consistency with the brand's look, feel and customer experience.
• Review and approve layouts, design concepts, working drawings, BOQs and material specifications.
• Manage design timelines and ensure the team meets project milestones.
• Coordinate with Projects, Operations, Procurement, Real Estate, consultants and vendors.
• Conduct site visits and ensure design intent is maintained during execution.
• Drive cost optimisation and value engineering while maintaining design quality.
• Build and maintain design standards, processes and guidelines for the organisation.
• Identify and develop team capabilities through regular feedback, mentoring and performance management.
• Manage multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.

What We’re Looking For
