Job description

Reports To (Functionally): Project Architect/Senior Interior Designer

Reports To (Administratively): Principal Designer / Head Designs

Objectives of the Job

To support the Project Architect in the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of architectural and interior design projects by assisting in design development, preparation of construction drawings, site evaluations, and material planning. The role focuses on ensuring alignment between design intent and on-site execution through regular site visits, quality checks, effective coordination with vendors, production, and dispatch teams, and timely management of material requirements to facilitate smooth project delivery while maintaining quality standards.

• Work in close coordination with Project Architect to ensure smooth execution of design processes.
• Assist in preparing design concepts, drafting construction documents, developing plans, and supporting presentation materials.
• Support the Project Architect in site evaluations, quality checks, design verification, and material/sample selection.
• Conduct site visits to ensure alignment with design plans and maintain quality standards.
• Communicate design details effectively and coordinate with the production and dispatch teams to manage and monitor manufacturing schedules.
• Plan material requirements, raise indents, and ensure timely release of material orders.
• Coordinate with vendors for samples and meetings.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for preparation of drawings and construction documentation.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp 3D for 3D modelling and design visualisation.
• Proficiency in rendering software such as D5 Render or Enscape.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for presentations and design-related visual editing.
• Good Microsoft PowerPoint (PPT) skills for preparing design presentations and client presentations.

Authority Limits: To be defined as per company policy.

Education: Any Graduate or Diploma holder in Architecture / Interior Design or a related field.
