Job summary

Tata Technologies in Pune invites experienced engineers for a walk-in recruitment drive. The position focuses on Cockpit IP & Console engineering, with Catia proficiency and 4–10 years of experience in vehicle programs.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration to drive design validation, DFMEA and ISO-compliant documentation, and supplier management. Venue: IT 3 Tower, 6th Floor, Qubix Park, Pune. Time: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• 4-10 years of experience in Cockpit (IP and Console) engineering.
• Experience in cross-functional meetings and vehicle program contexts.
• Knowledge of design validation, APQP and DFMEA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Establish, plan and run Cockpit/IP & Console system meetings with cross-functional input.
• Ensure progression from concept to final engineering sign-off (FESO).
• Maintain teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program requirements.
• Define engineering targets for function, quality and attributes in the vehicle program.
• Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including in-house and supplier testing.
• Develop system design specifications with standards, tests and material specs.
• Lead DFMEA and DFA/DFM reviews and quality history activities.
• Ensure ISO quality documentation compliance.
• Resolve design and packaging issues via cross-functional meetings.
• Manage suppliers to meet delivery timing and attribute targets.
• Support sourcing/RFQ activities with ESOWs, PDSs and ESIs.
• Assist vehicle launches and pre-production builds (virtual/physical).
• Apply APQP to manage system/component delivery.
• Ensure PSW delivery from project start to sign-off.
• Align with company goals and strategies.
• Meet DVA, Optical and Perceived Quality targets.

Job Description / Roles & Responsibilities:

• This position is responsible for establishing, planning and running the engineering Cockpit ( IP & Console) system meetings to ensure appropriate cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas.
• Ensure progression of design quality maturity from initial concept through to final engineering sign-Off (FESO).
• Establishing and maintain the teamwork plan aligned to vehicle program.
• Define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality and attribute requirements for the Vehicle Program.
• Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including both in-house and supplier testing plan and ensure development signoff tests are completed on schedule.
• Develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test procedures and material specifications.
• Lead Failure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews and DFA/DFM reviews.
• Ensuring all relevant documentation meets ISO quality standards.
• Lead the resolution of design, attribute, or packaging incompatibilities through the appropriate cross-functional meetings.
• Management of Supplier (s) to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle programme timing and attribute targets.
• Support Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities including the creation of ESOWs, PDSs and ESIs.
• Support vehicles launch and pre-production builds (both virtual and physical).
• Ensuring the effective application of APQP to manage system/component delivery.
• Ensure delivery of PSW, through planning from project start to sign off.
• Follow and deliver company goals and strategies.
