• Ability to use design and drafting software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit) for plans, elevations, and 3D visualizations.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage timelines and multiple design projects.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, school admins, and vendors.
• Experience designing educational spaces is an advantage; understanding of ergonomic and safety standards for children is beneficial.

Role Description

The Interior Designer will work on-site at Future Gurukuls in Lucknow in a full-time capacity, contributing to the design and enhancement of modern educational spaces. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and designing classroom layouts, learning labs, and other school infrastructure to support STEM and technology-based education. The role involves developing interior concepts, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and preparing construction and design drawings. The Interior Designer will collaborate with engineers, educators, and external vendors to ensure designs are functional, safe, and aligned with Future Gurukuls' educational mission. The role also includes site visits, overseeing implementation of interior plans, and making adjustments based on feedback from stakeholders and users.
