Job summary

Mahi Interiors invites an on-site Interior Designer in Indore to concept, plan, and execute client projects. You will select materials, finishes, furniture, and FF&E aligned with project budgets.

The role requires creating and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring design intent throughout execution. Site visits, measurements, and mood boards will communicate ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Space Planning expertise to optimize layouts for functionality, aesthetics, and user experience
• Knowledge of Architecture principles relevant to interior projects and built environments
• Ability to create and interpret Construction Drawings for coordination with contractors and vendors
• Experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination with manufacturers and suppliers
• Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar)
• Strong visual, creative, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with clients, teams, and site personnel
• Relevant diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
• Prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects; furniture design experience is an advantage

Responsibilities include developing design concepts, preparing space plans, and selecting materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) aligned with project requirements and budgets. The role involves creating and reviewing construction drawings, coordinating with vendors and contractors, and ensuring design intent is maintained throughout execution. The Interior Designer will conduct site visits, measure spaces, oversee installation quality, and adjust designs based on feedback and practical constraints. The role also includes preparing presentations, mood boards, and 3D or 2D visuals to communicate design ideas clearly to clients and stakeholders.
