Job summary

Sketchworx is seeking an experienced Interior Designer to develop design concepts, create detailed layouts, and manage space planning for residential and corporate projects.

You will collaborate with architects, contractors, and vendors, produce construction drawings, and ensure designs are functional, sustainable, and aligned with client needs. On-site coordination and client presentations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Strong portfolio showing creative, practical, and sustainable design solutions.
• Proficiency in Interior Design and FF&E selection for residential and corporate spaces.
• Experience using design and visualization software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Photoshop or similar).
• Knowledge of materials, finishes, lighting concepts, and current interior design trends.
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong project coordination, time management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to develop and interpret Construction Drawings with detailed plans, elevations, and sections.

Role Description

The Interior Designer will work full time on-site at Sketchworx’s studio in Delhi, India. This role involves developing design concepts, preparing detailed interior layouts, and coordinating space planning for residential and corporate projects. The Interior Designer will create mood boards, select materials, finishes, and FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and collaborate closely with architects, contractors, and vendors to ensure design intent is executed accurately. Daily tasks include producing construction drawings, attending site visits, managing design revisions, and ensuring that designs are functional, sustainable, and aligned with client needs. The role also requires clear communication with clients, participation in design presentations, and adherence to project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection for residential and corporate spaces.
• Proficiency in Space Planning and Architecture fundamentals to create ergonomic, functional layouts.
• Ability to develop and interpret Construction Drawings, including detailed plans, elevations, and sections.
