Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1–6 years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture, residential interiors, or a related industry.
• Practical understanding of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and design concepts.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated, professional, and customer-focused.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru and conduct regular client/site visits.
• Kannada language proficiency is preferred/required.

Role Description

We are looking for a Design Consultant – Interiors to join our team in Bengaluru. The role involves working closely with prospective clients to understand their lifestyle, design preferences, space requirements, and budget, and translating these requirements into suitable interior design solutions.

The Design Consultant will be responsible for managing the client journey from the initial consultation through design discussions, material selection, proposal preparation, negotiations, and project closure. The role requires a strong understanding of interior design, materials, customer handling, and the ability to collaborate effectively with the design and execution teams.

The ideal candidate should have a background in Interior Design or Architecture, good communication and presentation skills, and the ability to understand both the creative and commercial aspects of an interior project.

• Conduct client consultations to understand their requirements, preferences, lifestyle, budget, and project expectations.
• Understand the client's space and provide suitable interior design solutions.
• Present design concepts, layouts, materials, finishes, and overall project proposals to clients.
• Coordinate with the design team to develop customized design solutions based on client requirements.
• Conduct client meetings and site visits to understand project requirements and provide design recommendations.
• Assist clients with material, colour, finish, furniture, and other interior selections.
• Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and project presentations in coordination with the relevant teams.
• Follow up with prospective clients and manage leads throughout the sales and consultation process.
• Handle client queries, objections, negotiations, and support the team in converting qualified leads into confirmed projects.
• Maintain accurate client and lead information in CRM and other internal systems.
• Coordinate with design, project execution, and other internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales/design consultation to project execution.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients throughout the project journey and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Stay updated with the latest interior design trends, materials, finishes, products, and industry developments.
• Contribute to achieving individual and team revenue and project-conversion targets.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• 1–6 years of relevant experience in interior design, architecture, residential interiors, or a related industry.
• Practical understanding of interior materials, finishes, furniture, and design concepts.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to understand client requirements and convert them into practical design solutions.
• Ability to explain design concepts, materials, budgets, and timelines clearly to clients.
• Strong customer-handling and relationship-management skills.
• Comfortable working with CRM software, spreadsheets, email, and other digital tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client requirements.
• Self-motivated, professional, and customer-focused approach.
• Willingness to work on-site in Bengaluru and conduct regular client and site visits.
