Job summary

Tata Technologies is conducting a walk-in drive for a Sr. CAD Engineer in Bangalore. The incumbent will generate CAD concepts and solutions for Interior–Interior-Cabin Trims using CATIA V5/V6, with emphasis on design integrity, interface management, and manufacturing feasibility. Strong communication and timely delivery are essential.

Responsibilities include creating CAD geometry and drawings, ensuring data maturity, and delivering all project artefacts on schedule within the automotive sector.

Qualifications

• Experience in CAD geometry and drawings for Interior-Cabin systems.
• Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 with focus on interior trims.
• Experience delivering automotive interior components.
• Good communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
• Ability to meet program timescales and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD geometry and drawings for Interior-Cabin systems.
• Develop and validate designs for interior trims and components.
• Ensure CAD data stays up to date with maturity levels.
• Provide CAD support and progress designs to meet program deadlines.
• Check interfaces and clearance between parts; ensure manufacturability.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Team Lead; deliver all project artefacts on time.

Scope of Role

The Sr. CAD Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Interior – Interior-Cabin Trims.

Area of Responsibility

• This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Interior-Cabin system.
• Responsible for the design and development of –
• Ensure CAD data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
• Ability to check and manage Interfaces and clearance to interface parts.
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
• Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Team Lead.
• Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.
• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.
• Good all round design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Pillar trims or scuff plates project.
• Experience in Soft trims will be an added advantage.
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
• Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
