Job summary

Keka Technologies Private Limited is seeking an Integration & API Technical Lead in Chennai. You will translate architecture into detailed designs and drive end-to-end integration projects across ERP, WMS, TMS, and logistics systems, ensuring secure, scalable, observable, and production-ready solutions.

You will lead the design and implementation of REST APIs, event-driven flows, and middleware, while mentoring engineers and coordinating with QA and platform teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise integration and API development.
• Experience as Technical Lead or senior integration engineer.
• Proficiency with REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and batch integration.
• Experience with ERP/WMS/TMS integrations and external partner systems.

Responsibilities

• Translate architecture into detailed technical designs and implementation plans.
• Lead REST API, event, queues, and middleware integration development.
• Design event-driven integrations including contracts, schemas, routing, and replay.

Job description

We are looking for an Integration & API Technical Lead with strong hands‑on expertise in Enterprise Integration, REST APIs, API‑led & Event‑Driven Integration, Messaging Platforms, API Management, and Distributed Systems. The role translates solution architecture into detailed technical designs and working integrations across enterprise platforms, while leading engineering execution and ensuring integrations are secure, scalable, observable, reliable, and production ready.

What You'll Do

• Translate solution architecture into detailed technical designs, interface specifications, integration workflows, and implementation plans.
• Lead the design and implementation of REST APIs, events, queues, middleware flows, connectors, and transformation services, following OpenAPI/AsyncAPI standards.
• Design and implement event‑driven integrations, including event contracts, schemas, routing, ordering, retention, schema evolution, and replay mechanisms.
• Lead integration with ERP, WMS, TMS, order‑management, logistics, invoicing, and external partner systems, using reusable APIs, adapters, and event contracts.
• Implement reliability, error‑handling, security, and recovery patterns, including retries, idempotency, circuit breakers, dead‑letter queues, authentication, authorization, and data protection.
• Establish observability and production readiness through logging, metrics, distributed tracing, dashboards, alerts, operational runbooks, deployment support, and incident resolution.
• Provide day‑to‑day technical leadership, conduct code/design reviews, mentor engineers, resolve technical blockers, and collaborate with QA and platform teams.

What We Seek In You

• Strong experience in Enterprise Integration, API Development, or Middleware Engineering, with experience as a Technical Lead, Lead Integration Engineer, or Senior Integration Developer.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in REST APIs, API‑led integration, asynchronous messaging, publish‑subscribe, event streaming, webhooks, and batch integration.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as Apache Kafka, AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus.
• Experience with API management platforms such as Apigee, Kong, AWS API Gateway, Azure API Management, or MuleSoft.
• Strong experience integrating enterprise systems such as ERP, WMS, TMS, order management, logistics, and invoicing platforms.
• Strong understanding of distributed‑system reliability, including consistency, retries, idempotency, concurrency, failure recovery, and resilience patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWT, API Keys, mTLS, OpenAPI, AsyncAPI, JSON Schema, Avro, or Protocol Buffers.
• Strong debugging, root‑cause analysis, production support, technical leadership, stakeholder communication, and engineering coordination capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Solution Architecture, Integration Architecture, or Enterprise Architecture practices, with demonstrated potential to progress toward an Integration or Solution Architect role.
• Understanding of Domain‑Driven Design, bounded contexts, and domain events.
• Experience with cloud‑native integration across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with microservices, containers, CI/CD, schema registries, and contract testing.
• Experience modernizing legacy or point‑to‑point integrations.
• Exposure to supply chain, distribution, manufacturing, commerce, or logistics environments.
• Relevant cloud, middleware, API‑management, or integration‑platform certifications.
