Location: Ahmedabad

Responsibilities

• Design vehicle electronic parts hardware with integration to vehicle network
• Prepare system requirement specifications for hardware and software of electronic parts
• Prepare and manage development and deployment (D&D) plan in line with product development schedule
• Develop software architecture in compliance with AUTOSAR requirements and ISO standards for functional safety, cyber security etc.
• Prepare and conduct DFMEA for hardware and software
• Review and participate in proprietary part DFMEA, process capability and design reviews
• Support communication tools development for manufacturing and servicing of products
• Prepare state‑machine designs for electronic components in conjunction with UI/UX requirements
• Use PLM tools to manage D&D activities as per QSP
• Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders for part development, validation and proving
• Conduct functional safety analysis and define safety goals for a vehicle as per ISO 26262
• Participate in and review the software development methodology and software QA process (ASPICE or equivalent)
• Evaluate, identify and verify cyber security goals for the vehicle and architecture as per ISO 21434
• Define HEV/EV traction inverter and electrical system architecture
• Drive functions and control algorithms such as state transition diagram & conditions, torque control, thermal behaviour estimations & management, and vehicle adhesion controls
• Perform inverter controls software verification and validation
• Ensure ISO 26262 compliance for traction inverter ECU and DFMEA
• Collaborate with system team to identify electrical interfaces and calibrations
• Conduct functional testing and system/component benchmarking

Technical/Functional Requirements

• Knowledge of power electronics in electric vehicles and its components
• Knowledge of electric drivetrain systems (architectures, modeling, simulations and design considerations)
• Modeling, analysis and design of inverters, motor drives and topologies (vector control & direct control systems)
• Experience with vehicle dynamics using MATLAB/Simulink or other tools
• Familiarity with ISO 26262
• Exposure to electric powertrain control design, development, verification and validation
• Familiarity with onboard diagnostics

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience in vehicle network data analysis (CAN, LIN, Ethernet) and vehicle debugging
• Experience with AUTOSAR, ISO standards for functional safety and cyber security
• Proficiency in DFMEA and software QA processes such as ASPICE
