Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking an Integrated Security and Communication Systems Engineer to analyze customer specifications and ensure solutions meet requirements across power grids and related infrastructure.

The role involves preparing technical specifications, conceptual and detailed designs, coordinating with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and customers, and ensuring compliance with international standards while driving safe, high-quality digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, electrical, or electronic engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in related fields, with at least 3 years in telecommunications.
• Experience in design of access control, CCTV, intruder detection, public address, telecom, and video conference systems.
• Civil/architectural knowledge is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze customer specifications to ensure Hitachi Energy solutions meet requirements.

• Review vendor drawings and documents and validate designs against applicable regulations and specs.
• Perform technical evaluation of bids and support project planning and field activities.
• Advise project/site teams on best practices in line with processes, regulations and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate with Civil, MEP, Electrical and Mechanical departments; identify risks and opportunities.

Job Description:

The Integrated Security and Communication systems Engineer shall analyse customer specification to ensure Hitachi Energy solution meets the customer requirements.

How you'll make an impact:

• Analyse customer specification to ensure Hitachi - Power Grids solution to meets the requirements.
• Need to have a good knowledge of international regulations and standards.
• Be responsible for preparing technical specification documents, conceptual designs, detailed design development, be responsible for Producing, reviewing and coordinating technical information required with internal stakeholders, suppliers & customer.
• Be able to review of technical documents & drawings from vendors and sub supplier, be able to Validate design confirmation to applicable regulations and technical specification.
• Perform Technical evaluation of price bids for procurement, perform Planning and follow-up project activities & site activities.
• Consulting & advising project/ site team on the best practices & solutions in accordance with standard processes, regulation, procedures and safety guidelines.
• Technically coordinate with Civil, MEP, Electrical and Mechanical department.
• Coordinate with Project/Tender Team efficiently Identify the risk and opportunities effectively.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:

• You hold a bachelor's/master’s degree in mechanical /electrical/Electronic Engineering with a minimum work experience of 5 to years in any one or combination of the below.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in field of telecommunication. Experience in design of Access control system, CCTV, Intruder detection system, public address system, Telecommunication system and Video conference systems.
• Knowledge in Civil/Architectural aspects is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
