Job summary

Hitachi Energy's Indian Operations Center seeks an experienced cybersecurity professional to lead security requirements from tender through project handover, ensuring alignment with IEC 62443 standards. You will coordinate with security leads, assess risks in customer requirements, maintain CS documentation, and drive certification efforts across delivery projects.

This role requires OT networking expertise, familiarity with Nessus, Nmap and CIS-CAT, and close collaboration with HUB, R&D,

Qualifications

• BE/BTech or equivalent in power, electrical or communications.
• 6+ years IT/OT in Control System Automation with 3+ years Cybersecurity focus in OT, or 5+ years OT Cybersecurity implementer/architect.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and standards (IEC62443, NERC CIP, NIST).
• Familiar with endpoint security, logging, hardening benchmarks.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Cybersecurity requirements from Tender to Project Handover.
• Assess deviations and risks in customer requirements and standards during Tender.
• Liaise with Customer on adherence to security requirements and regulations.
• Review that cybersecurity deliverables meet IEC 62443-3-3 and related standards.
• Support to enhance CS documentation and vulnerability management in projects.
• Support IEC 62443 2-4 and 3-3 certification efforts.
• Maintain and improve the cybersecurity solution and security tooling.
• Contribute to Cybersecurity Assurance processes in Customer Delivery Projects.
• Ensure Test area Asset security management and security tools are in place.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

The opportunity:

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around3500+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, projectManagement, functional system testing, installation supervision, documentation and commissioning.Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of operations to facilitate business activities. How you’ll make an impact:

• Responsible for Cybersecurity requirement from Tender till Project Handover. Coordinate with Cyber Security Lead or Officer to fulfill Hitachi Energy requirement and Customer requirements.

• Assess, identify deviation and Risks in Customer requirement and required standard & regulatory requirement during Tender.

• Acts a liaison with the Customer about Hitachi Energy’s automation solution’s adherence to customer requirements and required standard & regulation.

• Review Project Cybersecurity deliverables are implemented and delivered as agreed. For platforms certified with IEC 62443-3-3, make sure that the delivery project is within the requirements of the standard to the extent possible.

• Support to enhance and maintain the CS documentation for project deliverables.

• Ensure the Vulnerability Management in delivery projects.

• Support in Business in achieving IEC 62443 2-4 Certification and in IEC 62443 3-3 certification.

• Support in maintaining and improving the Cybersecurity solution.

• Contribute to Cybersecurity Assurance process definition and improvement in Customer Delivery Projects.

• Ensure Test area Asset security Management and Security tools.

Your Background:

• Successful BE/BTech or equivalent, power, electrical, communications preferred Experience in automation of power transmission and distribution networks.

• Minimum 6+ years of IT/OT Industry Experience in Control System Automation (3+ years of Cybersecurity with emphasis on OT) or 5 + years as an OT Cyber Security Implementer or Architect.

• Advanced Knowledge OT Networking and Network security.

• Experienced working in OT environment components and OT security.

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Regulation, Standards and Framework - (IEC62443, NERC–CIP, BDEW, NIST Publication).

• Awareness on current Cybersecurity controls and solutions – Endpoint Security, AAA, Security logging, Hardening benchmarks.

• Knowledge on Security tool (NESSUS, CIS CAT, Nmap)

• Understanding on Computer networks and network security – Firewall, IDS

• Desirable with ISA 99 / 62443 – Cybersecurity Fundamentals Specialist, GIAC, GICSP, CEH certification.

• Global Roles and responsibilities.

• Close coordination with HUB, R&D, Product Management, Engineering and Sales.

• Support in Business in achieving IEC 62443 2-4 Certification and in IEC 62443 3-3 certification.

• Support in maintaining and improving the Cybersecurity solution.
