NABCONS invites applications for a Project Based Contract Staff role as Insurance Specialist to support the PMU in implementing Aquaculture Insurance under PM-MKSSY. The position requires an MBA with about 5 years in insurance and strong knowledge of insurance products and underwriting guidelines.

Experience with international organizations is preferred. The contract is project-based, with salary commensurate to experience and last drawn salary, and tax deducted at source.

Qualifications

• MBA with 5 years of Experience in the field of insurance, designing insurance products etc.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance products and underwriting guidelines
• Preference would be given to candidate worked with international organizations like World Bank, ADB, AFD, KFW, GIZ etc.

Requirement of Project Based Contract Staff for the post of Insurance Specialist under the project Project Management Consultant for providing manpower to the Project Management unit for implementation of PM-MKSSY

Desired educational qualification, experience and remuneration details are given below:

Scope of work:

1. To assist the PMU in implementation of Aquaculture Insurance.
2. Deals with all matters related to insurance within the project, including assessing insurance needs, procuring appropriate insurance coverage, managing insurance claims, and ensuring compliance with insurance requirements.
3. To provide data and reports on Insurance policy, claims experience, and other key metrics to management.
4. Collaborating with all stakeholders across departments, functions, and levels of the organization related to implementation of Aquaculture Insurance.

Qualification/ Experience + Expertise

• MBA with 5 years of Experience in the field of insurance, designing insurance products etc.
• Strong working knowledge of insurance products and underwriting guidelines
• Preference would be given to candidate worked with international organizations like World Bank, ADB, AFD, KFW, GIZ etc.

Professional Fees

The Consultant will be paid consolidated Professional Fees based on the experience, educational qualification and overall suitability of the candidate for the above-mentioned post. Salary will be commensurate based upon experience and last drawn salary. The candidates will be liable for tax liabilities under section 393(1) [Sl. No. 6(iii)D(b)] of the Income Tax Act 2025 & Rules in force and the tax will be deducted at source.

Contract Period

The Project Based Contract Staff (PBCS) would be hired on contract basis initially till 31 March 2027, which may be extended based on the requirement of the project and performance or will be coterminous with the project period.
