Job summary

Karthika Consulting & Solutions Bengaluru is seeking a patient support executive to handle hospital insurance processes, communicate with patients, and coordinate with internal teams.

You will manage documentation, educate patients about deductions, create information groups, and ensure data is transferred securely to insurers.

This role requires good listening, communication and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Graduation is acceptable, with preference for healthcare exposure.
• Excellent listening and analytical skills are essential.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interact with hospital insurance patients and address queries.
• Create WhatsApp groups to share information with stakeholders.
• Collect required documents from patients and hospitals.
• Coordinate with medical and Ops teams for initial approvals.
• Cross-check files before sharing with approval teams.
• Educate patients about deductions and reimbursement claims.
• Gather claim support documents and liaise with back-end teams for data transfer to the TPA/insurer.
• Handle grievances from hospital staff and patients and escalate when needed.
• Provide timely updates to clients and ensure follow-ups.
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism throughout the process.
• Escalate issues to Team Leader/Regional Manager as necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• To interact with hospital insurance patients.
• Create WhatsApp groups to provide/share information.
• Collecting necessary documents from the Patient /Hospital.
• Coordinate with internal medical and Ops team for initial approval.
• Cross-checking the files before sharing with the approval team.
• Educating patients about deduction.
• To create awareness about reimbursement claims. (Pre & Post Hospitalization)
• Collecting claim support documents from the patients/hospitals & coordinating with the back-end team to ensure smooth transfer of data to the TPA/Insurance company.
• Efficiently and effectively handle grievances/issues raised by hospital staff & patients, elevate issues to the team leader, as necessary.
• Follow up and provide Updates to the clients
• Efficiently and effectively handle grievances/issues raised by hospital staff & patients, elevate issues to the team leader, Regional Manager Claims Assistance, Manager Operations, and Business Head as necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• Worked in a Hospital or Insurance for 6 months to 02 years. (added advantage)
