Job summary

JobItUs in India is seeking a hands-on Instrumentation Engineer to troubleshoot PLC/SCADA, calibrate field instruments, and optimize plant performance in a chemical/pigment manufacturing setting.

You will maintain DCS/PLC configurations, analyze process data, coordinate with production teams, ensure instrument safety and regulatory compliance, and provide root-cause analyses for outages.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC/SCADA troubleshooting and calibration in chemical/pigment plants.
• Maintenance of process instrumentation and troubleshooting of field instruments.
• Experience with DCS/PLC hardware and safety/regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform DCS programming and configuration (ABB/Siemens or similar systems).
• Support changes in logic, alarms, and interlocks as per process requirements.
• Conduct routine calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of field instruments (pressure, flow, level, temp transmitters).
• Maintain health and reliability of PLC/DCS-connected field devices.
• Analyze process data and suggest improvements in instrument loop performance for energy and efficiency optimization.
• Coordinate with production and process teams to fine-tune control parameters.
• Maintain calibration records, loop diagrams, and preventive maintenance checklists.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory norms during instrument maintenance.
• Rapidly identify and rectify faults in instrumentation during breakdowns.
• Provide root cause analysis and corrective actions.

The role demands strong technical capability in maintaining process control systems and optimizing plant performance.

Key Responsibilities
