Job summary

Vaaman Engineers in Rajasthan is seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to lead design, installation, and maintenance of plant instrumentation and control systems.

The role involves supervising installation, calibrations, data analysis, and training of operations staff while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in instrumentation, with a Bachelors in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience with PLCs, SCADA, and DCS.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Design and Development: Develop and design new control systems and instrumentation. Create and review technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for instrumentation and control systems.
• Installation and Commissioning: Supervise the installation and commissioning of instrumentation systems and equipment. Ensure all instruments and control systems are installed according to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Conduct regular maintenance to ensure instruments and control systems function efficiently. Diagnose and troubleshoot faults with instrumentation systems and equipment.
• Quality and Compliance: Ensure all instrumentation complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Perform quality assurance checks and maintain calibration records.
• Project Management: Manage instrumentation projects from conception to completion. Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, contractors, and vendors.

  • Conduct training sessions for plant personnel on instrumentation and control systems.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyse data from instrumentation systems to monitor plant performance.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation on system performance and project status.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in instrumentation engineering, preferably in a zinc or metallurgical plant.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Experience with PLCs, SCADA systems, and DCS.
  • Knowledge of process control and automation.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
