Job summary

Hubert Enviro Care Systems in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, is seeking a hands-on Instrumentation Engineer with 4–8 years of experience to install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments and control systems. Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI/B.E. in Instrumentation or Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
• 4–8 years hands-on instrumentation experience.
• Proficient with field instruments (PT, TT, FT, LT) and control valves.
• Read P&ID, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain field instruments (PT/TT/FT/LT) and valves.
• Conduct loop checking, pre-commissioning and commissioning of instruments and control systems.
• Troubleshoot PLC/DCS/SCADA and 420 mA/HART loops.
• Calibrate and maintain control valves, positioners and actuators.
• Read P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Support FAT and SAT activities.
• Coordinate with process, electrical and mechanical teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Installation, calibration, and maintenance of field instruments such as pressure (PT), temperature (TT), flow (FT), and level (LT) transmitters.
• Conducting loop checking, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of instruments and control systems.
• Troubleshooting PLC/DCS/SCADA systems and 420 mA/HART communication loops.
• Calibration, maintenance, and inspection of control valves, positioners, and actuators.
• Reading and interpreting P&ID drawings, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets.
• Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Supporting FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) and SAT (Site Acceptance Test) activities.
• Coordinating with process, electrical, and mechanical teams for smooth operations.
• Ensuring compliance with safety standards, LOTO procedures, and hazardous area requirements (ATEX/IECEx).
• Preparing technical reports, maintenance records, and documentation in CMMS/SAP systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / ITI / B.E. in Instrumentation / Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering.
• 4-8 years of hands-on experience in industrial instrumentation.
• Strong knowledge of field instruments (PT, TT, FT, LT) and control valves.
• Experience in installation, calibration, loop checking, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Knowledge of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and wiring schematics.
• Familiarity with 420 mA signals, HART, and fieldbus communication.
• Knowledge of industrial safety practices, PPE usage, and LOTO procedures.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and participate in plant shutdowns/turnarounds.
