Job summary

Saipem in Chennai is seeking an experienced instrumentation engineer to support detailed design and documentation across projects. You will create and annotate instrumentation drawings, layouts, and cabling routes, ensuring dimensional accuracy and industry standards.

The role requires 5+ years of experience, a Diploma or BE, and strong skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and 3D modelling (S3D/SP3D/E3D). You will participate in model reviews and coordinate with other disciplines to resolve clashes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor of Engineering required.
• Experience with instrumentation drafting and design.

Responsibilities

• Skilled in instrumentation symbols and standard installation drawings.
• Proficient in 2D drafting (AutoCAD, MicroStation) and 3D modelling (S3D/SP3D/E3D).
• 3D modelling of junction boxes, remote instruments, F&G devices, telecom instruments, cable trays, supports and cables.
• Prepare instrument cable routing, instrument location layout, telecom layout, and MCT allocation layout.
• Prepare cable cross-sections, cable tray sizing and installation drawings.
• Generate loop drawings and JB wiring using SPI.
• Participate in model reviews and coordinate corrections with other disciplines.
