Job summary

The ePlane Company is seeking an Instrumentation Technician to calibrate and test transmitters, sensors, valves, and gauges to exact standards.

You will diagnose electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic faults, install instrumentation systems per P&IDs, and perform CMMS-driven preventive maintenance while documenting all activities and updates to plant drawings. Strong attention to detail and good communication with engineers are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical training in electronics or instrumentation technology.
• Strong ability to read wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and digital logic probes.
• Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Calibration and Testing: Fine-tune transmitters, sensors, control valves, and gauges to precise standards using loop calibrators and multimeters.
• Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose faults in machinery and PLCs, replacing defective parts to reduce downtime.
• System Installation: Set up instrumentation infrastructure and connect electrical circuits per schematics and P&IDs.
• Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections per CMMS.
• Documentation: Maintain logs of calibrations, repairs, parts usage, and updates to plant drawings.
