Job summary

ZF Group in India (Maharashtra) is seeking an Installation and Commissioning Engineer (Electrical) for Test Systems to set up equipment, wire power and control circuits, and perform testing and calibration to ensure correct operation. The role requires hands-on electrical site execution and knowledge of drive trains and machine dynamics.

Candidate should have BE/ITI/diploma in Electrical/Electronics, 3-8 years in electrical site work, strong computer skills, and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Technical degree like BE/ ITI / diploma in Electrical / Electronics would be Mandate
• 3-8 Years Work experience in Electrical site execution.
• Basics in machine electricals and production engineering as well as basic knowledge of drive train technology and machine dynamics
• Computer skills is essential.Good language skills in English
• Having experience in Testing Industry, Battery testing Facility experience is an added advantage.Should be an individual contributor

Responsibilities

• Equipment Setup: Position, align, and assemble machines based on engineering blueprints and technical manuals.
• Wiring & Connections: Run conduits, lay cables, and connect high-voltage power supplies and control circuits safely.
• Understanding for the DB cable terminations, load factors, cable sizing etc.
• Knowledge of the basic circuit’s preparations and wirings, basic knowledge on PLC panel troubleshooting.
• Testing & Calibration: Use testing tools like multimeters to check voltage, resistance, and current to verify the machine works correctly.
• Inspecting transformers and circuit breakers to ensure they are up to code
• Identifying electrical problems using specialized tools like voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammeters
• Repairing and replacing wiring and equipment using hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wire strippers, and conduit breakers
• Basic understanding on the HVAC system would be preferrable.
• Troubleshooting: Locate wiring errors or mechanical issues and fix them before final handover.
• Safety Compliance: Follow strict local and international electrical safety codes to prevent accident
