Role Overview

INSPYR is seeking a dynamic and passionate Student Counselor (Senior/Academic Counselor) to join our Ed-Tech team. This is an on-site role based in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will play a key role in guiding students through academic and career pathways, offering individualized support and expert advice to help them succeed.

Key Responsibilities

1. Student Counseling

• Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions.
• Guide students in identifying strengths, setting academic goals, and overcoming academic challenges.
• Assist with course selection and academic planning.
• Provide career guidance and advice on job opportunities and career paths.
• Support students with resume writing, interview preparation, and networking strategies.
• Share insights on internships and placement opportunities.

3. Educational Planning

• Develop customized educational plans aligned with student goals.
• Monitor progress and recommend enrichment programs as needed.

4. Student Support Services

• Provide information on academic procedures and institutional resources.
• Refer students to tutoring, mental health support, or accommodations when necessary.
• Advocate for student needs within the institution.

5. Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions and progress.
• Prepare reports for internal or external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality regulations.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in academic and career counseling.
• Attend relevant training programs, workshops, and conferences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or related fields.
• Proven experience in student or academic counseling, preferably in the Ed-Tech sector.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.
