Job summary

Brenntag is seeking an experienced Food Technologist to provide technical solutions and support across India in savoury, seasoning, and snack segments. The role requires hands-on lab work and independent pilot trials, closely collaborating with the commercial team.

You will work with Brenntag’s Blended Solutions Team, training and sharing knowledge with global colleagues, and driving new product opportunities in a fast-paced market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science/Technology or equivalent.
• Minimum 10 years of work experience in Food Technology/Research & Development in the Food & Beverage industry.
• Experience across various food segments including plant-based/hybrid solutions for local or overseas markets.
• Experience applying various food ingredients and blends.
• Experience in developing and presenting trends, new solutions and prototypes with customer interface.
• Good knowledge of food nutrition and its applications.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and design and conduct laboratory trials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct hands-on laboratory trials to evaluate functionality and performance of ingredients and solutions for savoury, seasoning and snack categories.
• Handle processing equipment used for savoury, seasoning, snack, and dairy segments.
• Ensure on-time completion of customer projects and internal applications projects.
• Collaborate with commercial/sales to respond quickly to customer needs and obtain new business.
• Collaborate with marketing on events like trade shows.
• Create innovative blended solutions and roll them out in the market to generate new wins.
• Introduce and train new solutions to technical and commercial teams in other countries/regions.
• Identify opportunities for new products or applications from current and new suppliers and trends.
• Provide training on Brenntag’s portfolio to commercial teams and customers.
• Cooperate with suppliers on knowledge transfer of food technology.
• Coordinate customer visits with the commercial team for prototypes and demonstrations.

Requirements
