Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced DevOps/Automation Engineer to provide high-level support for infrastructure, deployments, and system integrations. You will design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, manage deployment across environments, and ensure security controls across the platform.

Work closely with development teams to implement automation using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting; participate in strategic DevOps planning and tool adoption. Travel opportunities may exist as the role grows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of proven experience with Ansible and Ansible Tower in an enterprise environment.
• Strong proficiency in writing Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Experience with integrating Ansible Tower with other tools, e.g. service management tools.
• Proficient in using Git for version control and collaboration.
• Robust Python scripting skills for automation and integration tasks.
• Experience in handling Linux infrastructure troubleshooting.
• Solid shell scripting skills for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with event automation concepts and tools.
• Solid understanding of IAC principles.
• Hands-on experience in AWS cloud advanced services and Python, Ansible, and shell scripting.
• Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., CodeBuild, CodeCommit, GitLab , GitHub).
• Strong experience with AWS cloud platform
• Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Ansible, Type Script).

The Role

• Provide high-level technical support for complex issues related to infrastructure, deployment, and system integrations. Lead the investigation and resolution of critical incidents.
• Design, implement, and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure seamless software delivery and deployment processes.
• Manage and automate the deployment, scaling, and monitoring of infrastructure across multiple environments.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of applications and infrastructure.
• Ensure adherence to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement and manage security controls and policies to safeguard the organizations infrastructure and data.
• Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements and provide guidance on DevOps best practices.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and workflows. Generate reports and metrics to track performance and highlight areas for improvement.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of DevOps initiatives, including the evaluation and adoption of new tools and technologies to support business goals.
• Integrate the Ansible Tower with service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) to enhance IT workflows and streamline event automation processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and implement automation solutions.
• Use Git for version control and collaboration on Ansible playbooks and scripts.
• Write and maintain Python scripts to support automation tasks and integration with other tools.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for various automation tasks.
