Job summary

PwC India is seeking an Automation Engineer to design and implement end-to-end automation for infrastructure using Ansible and related tools. The role emphasizes configuration management, scripting, and DevOps practices within an Agile team.

The candidate will work with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) and REST APIs, ensuring code quality and proper documentation. Collaboration with Infra, DBA, Network, and App teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automation and configuration management experience.
• Strong scripting skills in Shell, PowerShell, and Python.
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD concepts, and infrastructure automation.

Responsibilities

• Automation & Configuration Management: Infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Ansible AWX/Tower/AAP and REST APIs, Ansible Collections, Ansible Galaxy.
• Scripting with Shell, PowerShell, Python.
• Understand cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for infra automation.
• Version control workflows (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab) including branches and PRs.
• DR workflows, DR event lifecycle, failover/failback processes.
• Documentation in ADO/Confluence and Agile working experience.

Role & responsibilities

• Automation & Configuration Management: Infrastructure Automation using Ansible,
• Ansible AWX/Tower/AAP and REST APIs, Ansible Collections, Ansible Galaxy.
• Scripting & Platform Expertise: Strong hands-on scripting experience with Shell, PowerShell,
• and Python
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD concepts, and infrastructure automation.
• Working knowledge of Azure or AWS or GCP cloud platforms (infrastructure + automation).
• Hands on experience on one of the version control tool(Git/GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab etc.),
• including branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Understanding of Disaster Recovery workflows, DR event lifecycle, and failover/failback
• processes.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills using (ADO/Confluence) and Experience
• working in Agile environment

Preferred candidate profile

• Design and develop end-to-end automation workflows and DR orchestration.
• Integrate infrastructure components with Ansible and orchestration tool.
• Optimize existing automation with enhancements and performance improvements.
• Ensure code quality, modularity, version control, and documentation readiness for production.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Infra, DBA, Network, Application Teams) for
• requirement gathering and automation adoption.
• Support DR tests, mock drills, and readiness activities
